Toledo Library 175th Anniversary Gala

On September 7th 2013 Elite Events had the great honor of designing and coordinating the Toledo Libraries 175th Anniversary Gala. With 400 of the libraries elite they listened to the two time noble prize winning author David McCullough speak about the Libraries past present and future.

Guests were welcomed with a  Red Carpet Entrance with jazz music from the Toledo School for the Arts and window entertainment by the Toledo Ballet
The cocktail hour glowed red with an enchanted tree which also featured the guests seating assignments for the evening. 
The Toledo Opera performed alongside the illuminated ice sculpture entertaining guests as they entered into the Winter Garden.
Elite events loved working with the Art Museum on this exhibit which held its Grand opening during the VIP event. Local artists created pieces as a tribute to the library’s 175th anniversary. 
Guests were entertained during the VIP Art Gallery exhibit by the Toledo Repertoire and took photos in front of a custom book shelf backdrop
The colors were chosen to compliment the buildings architecture and 175th logo seen on the sculpture. There was not a bad seat in the house thanks to the Audio Visual provided by Markeys and detailed space planning done by our own Nikki Wolfe

This Ice Confetti sequin linen worked perfectly with the Ice Sculpture from Ice Creations
Shimmering Gold and Art Deco Inspired linens pay tribute to the Libraries architecture
Guest Author David McCullough (top) Former Toledo Mayor Mike Bell and Representative Marcy Kaptur  (bottom right & Left) presented Mr. Clyde Scolls with a proclamation from the city
