Creech-Cross Wedding 5.18.13

It is with great pleasure that I introduce you to Melissa and Brad Cross!  Their wedding was a fantastic one to kick off the 2013 wedding season!

It was so fun watching Melissa’s vision come to life.  Melissa envisioned a fresh, simple, bright and laid back event.  Melissa and Brad had decided on Stone Oak Country Club as the venue for their reception and after 1 site visit and hearing her visions we decided that their grounds would be the perfect backdrop for their nuptials.

From Concept to completion enjoy the photos as you see their vision come to life.

Our vision: Moodboard to reflect our design direction and inspirations

Love the Chalkboard signage

Hanging arrangements on shepherds hooks continued with the simple garden feel

I have to say, we have the best florist! Sharon did a fantastic job with flowers, the bouquets looked amazing! each one was a little different and more unique than the next.

As a surprise for the bride and groom we decorated the patio area with paper lanterns in her color scheme.

One of my favorite parts of the design was the escort card wall.  We had Ribbon, crystals and hanging glass spheres with floating candles and flowers that the coordinating escort cards were attached to.  It served as a great focal point as well as a wall divider, not to mention beautiful photo!

Faith Love and Marriage October 6th 2012

Mr. & Mrs. Jeremy & Natalie Macke gave us the
pleasure of helping them through every aspect of their wedding as Full Planning
Clients. When we first met Natalie and her mother Monica they wanted to go over
the details of our contract very carefully, which was a good sign for us. We
knew right away that this was going to be a client who would
communicate to us exactly what they want and with that, we would be able to
guide them to the wedding of their dreams. Natalie is honest, humble and
beautiful inside and out, which made working for her and Jeremy not only
pleasurable but an honor. Since Faith is the cornerstone of their lives, we
wanted to make sure that guests felt that presence throughout the wedding. When looking through the photos below notice that Natalie and Jeremy are not just posing they are praying. You will see details such as crosses, bibles and tables named after bible verses. Our classic conservative couple used a color palate blending neutral champagnes with hues of greys then added an elegant touch of purples which we felt paired beautifully with the Toledo Country Clubs interior. From concept to completion you can see how we captured Natalie’s soft kind nature, Jeremy’s consistent commitment to her and their shared love for the outdoors all while telling their story of Faith Love & Marriage.

Kati & Bryan are Married~An Elite Event

Kati & Bryan are finally Married, and here are the photos to prove it :) As you all know our very own Event Coordinator Kati, was married a few weeks ago.  I wanted to take a few minutes to share with you a slide show that I put together of images from her fabulous photographer MARYWYAR.

The day could not have been any more PERFECT.  It was such a wonderful day, not just for Kati and Bryan but for me as well.  For the past 9 months I have been working side by side these 2 and assisting them bring their vision of their ideal wedding day to fruition.  The look on their faces when they saw everything come together was priceless, and something I will always remember.   The entire place was exactly what they had envisioned. Tailored,  Sophisticated and accented with gorgeous flowers.  Little elements referencing their love for their favorite band (Dave Mathews) surrounded them in a tasteful fashion, and made their event very unique and personal.

It was my honor to not only guide you through your day but to actually be apart of it as well.  Much Love to you both as you being this wonderful new chapter of life together!

Head on over to Marys blog to see for yourself just how fabulous their day really was!

Shabby Chic Design

It is no doubt right now my favorite design style is shabby chic with a smattering of french country and cottage style mixed in. Although I would tend to say my personal style is more Modern, and simple with clean lines and stratigially placed statement pieces,I fell in love with the shabby chic style ever since I flipped through my first issue of Country Living magazine, oohing and ahhing over the beautiful, distressed finds. In fact, Target’s ‘Simply Shabby Chic’collection by Rachel Ashwell is a favorite ‘happy place’ of mine, and I could literally stand there admiring the countless sheets, comforters, curtains, throw pillows, and other beautiful shabby chic accents for an incredibly long time. There is something so beautiful about all the tiny imperfections. It is just beautiful. And, although the shabby chic style tends to incorporate lots of whites, creams, and ivories throughout, I like to throw in pops of color every so often just to keep things interesting. A splash of turquoise or hot pink can really brighten up a piece and make it your own.

You can imagine, then, how much I absolutely adore shabby chic wedding decor in particular, which combines a few of my favorite loves into one. Just follow our tried + true recipe: add one part shabby + equal parts chic, a handful of handmade, a dash of DIY and fluff until fabulous. It is perhaps the most imperfectly perfect style that exists. One of my favorite elements of shabby chic style within the wedding scene is how you can make a beautiful display out of a few key pieces. The key is to find soft palettes and hues to complement one another, and add a main focal point to make the display pop. The below shabby chic photo display  is just one example which has stolen my heart. It lends some serious inspiration making it easy to DIY, even if you feel clueless about how to style your own display. I think the most important point when creating a photo display is to add lots of personal touches. The more personalized it is, the better. This way, guests can get a glimpse into your love story simply by stopping by and taking a quick peek. When I was planning my wedding, I had no idea how many unique display ideas were out there; if I had, this is definitely one I would have chosen to incorporate into my decor. Take a peek at some of my favorite shabby chic finds that I have discovered, they would be the perfect addition into your wedding and afterward in your love nest…
